Hello, my name is Eric R. Burton, and I'm enrolled in this web development class as a prerequisite for my degree. Beyond fulfilling a requirement, I'm genuinely excited to acquire the skills needed to publish webpages for my personal projects. I've always been drawn to the creative and technical aspects of coding, and I'm eager to explore how I can bring my ideas to life online. Whether it's designing a site to showcase my interests or building something functional from scratch, I see this class as a stepping stone toward achieving those goals.1

My background includes a strong appreciation for Computer Information Systems (CIS) classes, particularly those with coding elements that offer immediate, tangible results. I love the process of writing code, testing it, and seeing it work in real time—it's incredibly satisfying. Outside of academics, I'm also passionate about Dungeons & Dragons (D&D), which fuels my creativity and problem-solving skills. My goal for this class is to not only master the fundamentals of web development but also to create something unique, perhaps even a webpage tied to my D&D campaigns, blending my technical learning with my personal interests. I'm looking forward to seeing how far I can push my abilities by the end of this course!2
